On the same day, the No. 1 berth of the intelligent container terminal in Section C of the Beijiang Port Area of Tianjin Port, which is under construction, started a joint test.
On the morning of the 17th, in the Tianjin Port Container Terminal Automated Driving Demonstration Zone, rows of unmanned electric container trucks passed through the automatic loading and unlocking station in an orderly manner, and stopped at a predetermined location. The automated quay crane then grabs the container from the truck to stabilize it. Landed on the freighter. The relevant person in charge of the Water Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Transport said that this marks the first time that my country has used Beidou technology to realize container terminal automation.
Jiao Guangjun, President of Tianjin Port Group, introduced to reporters that after Tianjin Port took the lead in realizing the automatic upgrade and transformation of the full-yard track bridge of a single container terminal, it expanded the application of Beidou satellite positioning technology, which took less than one year and realized the entire process of the traditional container terminal. Automation transformation. After the transformation, the overall operating efficiency of the container terminal has increased by nearly 20%, the energy consumption per container has been reduced by 20%, and the overall operating cost has been reduced by 10%.
In recent years, my country's transportation industry has continued to expand the application scale of the Beidou system. Up to now, more than 6.98 million road operating vehicles nationwide have installed the Beidou system, more than 1,300 official ships have installed the Beidou system, and installed the Beidou system on the first transport aircraft, achieving zero breakthroughs.
Taking the port operation system application as an example, Peng Xiaoguang, manager of the technical engineering department of Tianjin Port Container Terminal Co., Ltd., introduced that the 24-hour land coverage capability of the Beidou satellite navigation system is the basis for ensuring the 24-hour uninterrupted operation of unmanned container trucks; High-precision positioning support is the basis for ensuring the positioning accuracy of unmanned container trucks.
Since last year, in the face of the crisis pressure brought by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Tianjin Port has made full efforts to build new infrastructure, using Beidou satellite navigation system and self-developed unmanned electric container trucks to achieve the largest scale application in the port. With the support of science and technology, the container throughput of Tianjin Port has maintained a positive growth trend for several months. Last year, the container throughput exceeded 18.35 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%.
